What Is A Dental Bridge?
A dental bridge is a custom-made, fixed (non-removable) restoration designed to replace one or more missing teeth. It is permanently bonded in place and provides a long-term solution for restoring both function and appearance in areas where teeth are missing.

How is a Dental Bridge prepared?
To prepare a dental bridge, the supporting teeth (abutments) are shaped for crowns, similar to the process used for individual crowns. An impression is then taken of the prepared teeth, and a temporary bridge or crowns are placed to protect the area and maintain proper tooth positioning. The impression is sent to a dental laboratory where the final bridge is fabricated. At the next appointment, the bridge is carefully tried in, adjusted if necessary, and permanently cemented into place.
Do you really need to replace a missing tooth?
If you have missing teeth, it is strongly recommended to replace them as soon as possible. When a gap is left untreated, surrounding teeth and opposing teeth may begin to shift, which can lead to several oral health problems, including:
